A few words about this piece: This is by far my favorite Leo Kottke
piece. I fell in love with it when I first heard «6 & 12 String Guitar»
(the Armadillo album) some 20 years ago. For so many years I wanted
to learn it and it defeated me. This version finally came together
about 2 years ago. It’s based largely on the transcription in
«8 Songs» but I have modified it to fit more closely to the
recorded version on «6 & 12 String Guitar» — evidently the
transcription in «8 Songs» is taken from a different recorded
version. Although the piece is in the key of A, on «6 & 12 String
Guitar» Kottke is tuned down so it sounds in the key of F#.
Finally, a standard disclaimer: any errors here are mine. I welcome
feedback from anyone about this transcription, especially any
corrections and/or additions.
