Song: Heavy Comfort
Band: You Am I

On ‘Hourly, Daily’ Tim Rogers sings this accompanied only by a string
arrangement, but I thought it would be interesting to work out the chords
anyway. I’m not sure about the lyrics but they should be close.
(Em)Did you catch her in the window (A)do-right woman, do-right man.
(Am)Praying for heavy comfort to fill his (C)pockets with his (Em)hands.
Man in chip shop, milk bar, postman, used to (A)fork out for your mouth.
Now the (Am)compliments have stopped since every (C)assets headed (Em)south.
A Am C Em
He was a sharp one, what a looker, the (A)last drunk to hang around.
Get (Am)well she could, coloured knickers are just (C)for the mirror (Em)now.
Had a dream once it was morning in a (A)dress that never frayed.
Now your (Am)friends are like eyelashes, too many (C)dropping off these
(Em)days.
A Am
(Violin quickens)
Em A Em Am
(B)For forty seconds a day I was sure that we were (Em)feeling the same
(A)way. Am
(Violin quickens again)
Em A Repeat 8 times
(B)For forty seconds a day I was sure that we were (Em)feeling the same (A)way.
