As the deer pants after the water brooks,
So my soul seeks for You, O Lord.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God
That His song might live within me.
Why be downcast, my soul,
Or disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
For I will yet praise Him,
My Saviour and my God,
Lord my soul thirst for You,
The living God.
