I’ve been watching, I’ve been wondering for a while
When was the last time I made you happy?
Tell me what to do to make you smile
It was a sunny day, somewhere far away
Until the clouds came down and touched the ground
And all the colours they went away
They left me with black and white
And nothing else to say
But it doesn’t really matter in these situations
I’ve been looking for something that I can’t find
I’ve been watching it slip away over time
Trying to find the right words but they never come
And there’s a song playing on the radio
I don’t like it but it means more than you could ever know
But you should know by now
You should have learnt your lesson
You know by now you should have learnt something
You’re caught up in something
You wish you never got that far
Hoping and praying that things don’t stay the way they are
But wanting and wishing are both two very different things
